About the role

We are currently searching for a qualified Chef to join our team at The Laurels Retirement Village. Your primary responsibility will be the preparation of meals for our residents and providing a level of service which exceeds their needs and dietary requirements. Your duties will include:

· Preparation of meals for residents, following set menus

· Menu planning to ensure dietary requirements of our residents are met

· Ensure that all kitchen processes are adhered to including HACCP Food Safety Guidelines, and other legislative requirements

· Responsible for food ordering and the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment

About you

· Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

· Previous experience in a similar role, experience working in retirement living will be highly regarded

· A current First Aid Certificate with current CPR

· A positive outlook and a genuine passion for food
