About the role

Based from our Glengowrie Retirement Village you will provide in home care and support to residents on a casual basis.  Our residents are at the centre of everything we do and as such we are searching for an individual who is passionate about providing high quality personalised care. Critical to your role will be your ability to ensure our residents emotional, cultural and physical needs are met and their independence and life choices are valued.

Under indirect supervision and delegation of the Registered Nurse you will provide services to customers to ensure flexible, individualised care. You will support and assist with activities of daily living, including mobility, continence management, showering, dressing, and personal grooming.   In addition you must be prepared to perform additional tasks including cleaning, internal and external village transport, social support, advocacy, meal delivery, organising laundry service and mobility support. 

About you

You will be genuinely committed to putting the needs of our residents first, with strong empathy and a positive personality.  To perform this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III Individual Support (or equivalent)tarra
  • First Aid Certificate with current CPR
  • Experience within a similar role (preferred)
  • A valid National Police Check (or ability to obtain one prior to commencement)
  • A  full (unrestricted) drivers licence with own reliable transport essential
