About the role

We are currently recruiting for a driven and experienced business-modelling professional to move into the role of Strategic Advisor Finance within our finance team and Brisbane Support Office. It is an opportunity to expand your career within RetireAustralia and contribute to the overall success of the organisation. This position is key in the operational support of the business and through data-driven scenarios and performance modelling will support business decisions. You will be responsible for business partnering with various business units and functional leaders across our business in order to drive innovation and challenge the business models. This will include, however not be limited to;

  • Product development (including existing offering and all forms of care)
  • Village operations and efficiencies
  • Review, communicate and roll out of village budgets collaboratively with ROM’s and VM’s
  • Identify and consider operational initiatives within the village budgets to ensure use of the general services charge is maximized from a service perspective for residents
  • Understand and consider the proposed financial impact of new product scenarios or business initiatives and make the appropriate recommendations to ensure resources and value creation is maximised
  • Financial modelling with support by the Centre of Excellence 
  • Support the ROM’s and VM’s on the performance framework in order to drive value through the villages
  • Provide forecast support for the villages as well as the corporate business on a monthly basis

About you

You will be a passionate leader with exceptional communication skills, high attention to detail and a strong work ethic. You will be someone who has displayed the RetireAustralia’s values throughout your current role, showing a strong sense of motivation to contribute to the organisations growth.  This role will suit someone who has a "hands on" approach. The successful candidate will have;

  • Degree in Business or Commerce; Majoring in Accounting
  • CPA or CA qualifications;
  • A valid Police Check within 6 months from date of issue;
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting including mon-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting as well as proven experience working with business models and performance frameworks
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport across a range of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to provide high quality, data-driven, strategic support
  • Microsoft Dynamics Navision experience
