The Position

An exciting opportunity exists for a casual Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to work in our beautiful Retirement Village located in Belrose. Our village offers a sophisticated retirement lifestyle positioned in a peaceful, leafy suburb with shopping centres close by. This position will require the successful candidate to work night shift including weekends.

Our residents are at the centre of everything we do and as such we are searching for an individual who is passionate about providing high quality personalised care. Critical to your role will be your ability to ensure our residents emotional, cultural and physical needs are met and their independence and life choices are valued.

As an integral part of our team you will;

  • Assist our residents with personal care including supporting and assisting with activities of daily living, including mobility, continence management, showering, dressing, personal grooming and distribution of medication;
  • Manage and control emergencies relating to the wellbeing of residents, staff and visitors that occur on village property;
  • Maintaining safety of staff, residents and visitors, following safe working practices and Company policies and procedures;
    Assist in the preparation, servicing and delivering of meals to our residents;
  • Assist in maintaining a clean environment for the residents in our care, including common areas, amenities; and
  • Effectively manage laundering for residents requesting this service; and
  • Any other reasonable duty requirement as requested.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A valid Police check no older than 6 months from date of issue
  • A current First Aid Certificate with current CPR
  • Certificate III Individual Support
  • Experience within a similar role would be an advantage
  • Work well within a team and also autonomously
  • Must have flexible availability and able to cover sleepovers; and
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise your tasks
