About the Role

We are seeking expressions of interest from Care Services Workers who are looking for an opportunity to help us build the foundation of our team at our newly constructed Glengara Care Apartments. The roles will be on a casual basis with night shifts required. The Glengara Care Apartments are located close to the beachside and surrounded by lush bushland. We have developed the Care Apartments and tailored our services to accommodate the needs of our residents.

In this role, you will report to the Care Manager and provide support services to our residents to ensure they receive effective care that is in line with our Values. Other duties in this role will include:

  • Continence management, dressing and personal grooming, mobility support and medication management;
  • Maintaining a clean environment for residents in our care, including common areas and amenities;
  • Assisting in the management and control of emergencies relating to wellbeing of residents, staff and visitors;
  • Ensuring documentation standards are achieved in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.

About you

You will have a compassionate nature and be approachable. It will be important to have the ability to easily establish rapport with people and build a strong relationship. In the role, you will enjoy working autonomously but still be an active team member. Demonstrated experience in a similar role within aged or community care will be essential. A Cert III in Individual Support (including medication management unit of competency) or equivalent and current drivers licence will be required.
